Match the clock to the way you bought it
Victoria’s Secret’s current US policy requires merchandise to be unwashed, unworn, and otherwise in its original condition, including sale, clearance, and gift merchandise. The standard timing differs by purchase channel:
| Purchase | Standard return timing |
|---|---|
| Online purchase | 30 days from the date the order ships |
| Store purchase | 30 days from purchase, with a valid receipt for a refund |
| Announced 2026 holiday purchases | Purchases October 28–December 24, 2026 can be returned through January 30, 2027 |
The online clock starts at shipment, rather than delivery. The holiday extension is already stated in the official return policy. It applies to the announced purchase dates; an earlier purchase does not receive that extension merely because you return it during the holiday season. The announcement does not waive product-condition requirements or define an extra holiday postmark grace period.

Orders placed through Amazon or TikTok Shop start in that app’s Orders page and follow that seller’s window and conditions. Do not apply the direct-site calendar to them. If an Amazon return is already late, the Amazon late-return guide explains why acceptance and refund deductions need separate checks.
Missing price tags and removed sewn-in tags are different
The product eligibility FAQ excludes merchandise whose sewn-in garment tag has been cut or removed. That is different from the price tag: online orders do not always include price tags, and the FAQ says they are not required. The store policy also says price tags are helpful but not required for Victoria’s Secret or PINK items.
A missing paper price tag therefore does not establish ineligibility, while a removed sewn-in tag is an explicit exclusion. Neither rule allows washed or worn merchandise. If an order arrived wrong or damaged, contact Customer Care under the product FAQ rather than treating it as an ordinary change-of-mind return. Gift cards have separate terms and are excluded from ordinary merchandise returns.
A late or receiptless store return offers an exchange route
During the store return window and with a valid receipt, the store policy offers an exchange or a refund based on the original form and amount of payment. Promotions, discounts, coupons, and qualifying free items are prorated into the refund calculation, so the ticket price is not necessarily the refund amount.
After the store return window, or without a valid receipt, the stated option is an exchange. It is not a general promise of cash or a merchandise card. The returned item’s lowest selling price determines its exchange value. If the new merchandise costs more, you pay the difference. If it costs less, you do not receive the leftover difference as a refund or merchandise credit.
Non-receipted returns tied to exchanges are limited to $250 within a 90-day period, excluding defective merchandise. A current, valid government-issued ID is required for a non-receipted exchange. This aggregate tracking period is separate from the ordinary purchase-based refund window.
Store merchandise generally returns in the country or location of purchase; franchise stores accept returns or exchanges only for merchandise bought at that location. Do not assume a US direct-store rule governs an international franchise.
For a late online purchase, do not infer automatic acceptance from the store exchange rule. The shipping FAQ describes a possible merchandise-card outcome after 30 days, while the current general policy states the within-window refund rule. Ask Customer Care about the particular order rather than relying on a universal late-online-refund promise.
Take an online order to a store with its proof
The online-to-store instructions say you can start from Order History and choose Return in Store. If that option is unavailable, bring the item and order invoice to a Victoria’s Secret or PINK store. An Order Confirmation or Shipment Confirmation email can replace the invoice; print it or show it on your phone. The FAQ accepts this route in the US and US Territories.
The general policy says an ordinary in-store refund typically posts to the original payment method in 3–5 business days. There is a different route if the associate cannot locate proof, or the order number contains only numbers and no letters: the store sends the return to the distribution center on your behalf. The stated allowance is 14 business days to receive and process it, then another 3–5 business days for the refund. Handing it to an associate therefore does not always mean the store can issue an immediate refund.
Original shipping and handling are not refundable. Keep the order confirmation and any handover record until the return and payment are resolved.
Mail it with the packing details and the correct label
For an online order shipped within the US, the mail instructions say to open the order in Order History, select Return, then Return by Mail. If the Return button does not open, the FAQ says to check the pop-up blocker. The order-history FAQ provides a guest route through Don’t have an account?, using the order number and email from the confirmation email.
The public Return Items by Mail page also provides a label route without first locating an order on that entry page:
- Pack the items with the packing slip. If it is missing, the self-return instructions permit a blank Return Form or the Shipment Confirmation email. Those instructions allow items from one or multiple orders in one package.
- Choose Create a Return Label. The public dialog asks for the return mailing address: name, street, city, state, and ZIP code, with an optional apartment field. Have that address ready before choosing Generate Return Label.
- Print and securely attach the free USPS label. Remove or cover existing labels on reused packaging, and keep the return tracking number.
- Drop the parcel at a USPS location and keep the receipt, which includes tracking.

The free-label rule is for US-shipped orders. If you choose not to use that label, the self-return instructions allow an insured, traceable carrier service to the published returns address. Do not assume the free-label offer reimburses postage you arrange yourself.
Gifts and tracking can change what happens next
For a mailed gift return, the public mail page says to provide your contact information on the packing-slip form and it will send a gift card. That instruction matters if you want the gift-return route rather than an ordinary return sent back to the purchaser’s original payment method.
The gift FAQ says store-bought gifts must return to a store. For an online gift taken to a store, bring the item and order invoice; that FAQ describes the associate mailing it to the distribution center. Its gift-processing section allows 21 business days to receive and process the return, alongside the general refund section’s different forwarding allowance. Ask which handling route applies if timing is critical; the two figures are not an invitation to add together a guaranteed total.
For a mailed ordinary return, use the tracking FAQ to separate transit from processing. It allows up to 14 business days for delivery to the return center. Once tracking shows delivery, it says to allow 7 calendar days for processing, followed by 3–5 business days for the refund. Contact Customer Care if more than 7 calendar days have passed since delivery without processing. The site may not update until processing finishes, and Customer Care does not have access to your return tracking number; retain your own label and USPS receipt.
If you need a different size or color for an online purchase, the exchange FAQ directs you to Customer Care to place a new order with free standard US delivery, then return the unwanted merchandise. Live chat can place a credit/debit-card order; gift-card or Klarna payment uses the phone route specified there. A new order and a return remain separate transactions.
