Anthropologie returns: 30-day refunds and one-year credit
Check Anthropologie US return timing, receipt lookup, store and mail routes, fees, gift returns, and the product or seller rules that change your options.

Thirty days determines the refund; one year is the outer limit
Under Anthropologie’s US return policy, ordinary eligible merchandise returned within 30 days of delivery for a shipped order, or 30 days of an in-store purchase, receives an original-payment refund at the original selling price. After 30 days, an accepted return receives merchandise credit at that price. Returns and exchanges stop after one year.
That longer period does not make every item eligible. You need the original sales receipt or AnthroPerks lookup, and the merchandise must be unworn, unwashed and unaltered, with tags attached and original packaging. The policy says defective items may still be accepted. Special products and selling partners have separate rules below.

For mail, allow time for the package to arrive. The refund FAQ says the refund form depends on when Anthropologie receives the items. Starting the return or printing a label within 30 days is not a published guarantee of an original-payment refund if the package arrives outside the window.
A store return can avoid the $5.95 mail charge
Most eligible online purchases can be returned to a regular Anthropologie store for free. In-store purchases must be returned to a store; they cannot go back by mail. Neither online nor store purchases can be returned to an Anthropologie Home Outlet or pop-up location.
For most ordinary mailed returns using Anthropologie’s label, $5.95 is deducted from the refund. Labels are available only for orders shipping to the continental US. Original shipping fees are nonrefundable. Use the store locator if you want to avoid the mailed-return charge, but check the product and seller exceptions before bringing the item.
A same-item exchange for another size or color has a free return label and waived shipping on the replacement order. For a different item, Anthropologie describes a return followed by a new purchase; do not assume it receives the same exchange treatment.
If you are comparing another store’s gift-return deadline, the holiday return deadlines guide tracks separate retailer announcements. A free in-store route does not make those other stores’ clocks interchangeable.
Locate the order before packing it
The Start an Online Return or Exchange link on the returns page opens an Order Status form. Have the order number and billing ZIP code ready. Account holders can instead sign in and use Order History. The public entry was inspected; no customer order or label was submitted.

Once you find the order, select Start a Return or Exchange and follow the instructions. The FAQ offers a printed label or a mobile return code that a UPS Store can use to print the label. Match the return label and slip to the actual items in the package. Process and mail separate returns individually, and remove or cover the original shipping label.
For a gift, the order number may be on the outside shipping label. If you cannot locate it, Anthropologie directs you to support with the gift giver’s name and/or email address. Choose the e-merchandise-credit option and the email address that should receive it; do not assume the original purchaser’s card will be refunded to you. In-store gift purchases go back to a store for merchandise credit.
Check the seller and product before using the standard route
Curated by Anthropologie: Return merchandise sold and shipped by a selling partner directly to that partner. It cannot go to an Anthropologie store or warehouse. Read the product’s Shipping & Returns section, confirmation emails, or Order History for the seller’s policy. Use Order History messaging if the prepaid label is missing. Partner windows vary; the Curated FAQ does not give every partner the ordinary one-year allowance. Nuuly retired rentals sold through the program are final sale.
Unlimited Furniture Delivery: Saleable items have 30 days from delivery and must return through the delivery service, not a store or ordinary label route. Contact the Furniture Specialists through the returns page to arrange pickup. The initial delivery fee is nonrefundable. Select upholstery has a 25% restocking fee plus applicable taxes; check the specific product page. Oversized items delivered by UPS have separate return-label instructions.
Wedding gowns and bridal sets: Store returns are allowed only if originally bought at a store. Eligible items must remain unworn, unwashed and unaltered, with original tags and packaging and no stains, pet hair, floor debris or pin marks. Wedding gowns carry a $25 restocking fee plus applicable taxes. Made-to-order gowns and bridal sets are final sale.
DoorDash purchases: The stated option is a same-product exchange for another size or color of equal value at an Anthropologie store within 30 days of purchase. They are not eligible for returns or refunds under that policy; contact DoorDash for order assistance.
Other nonreturnable purchases include packaged food, live plants, menstrual cups and personal devices from the sexual-wellness assortment. Home Outlet merchandise is sold as-is and final sale. The sale-price rule is narrower than “anything ending in .95”: it covers items ending in $.95, bought with an additional sale-on-sale discount and marked Final Sale.
Holiday wording and refund timing
As checked October 22, 2026, the live page says orders placed October 1–December 31 are eligible for return or exchange through January 31, excluding Unlimited Furniture Delivery items and wedding gowns. The notice does not state a year or explain whether the extension changes the ordinary 30-day original-payment rule. Confirm those points with Anthropologie before relying on an extended cash or card refund for a holiday order.
Most mailed returns process in approximately 1–2 weeks, with possible delays. A qualifying original-payment refund then posts about 1–3 business days after processing; a statement can take up to two billing cycles to reflect it. Gift-card purchases are refunded as merchandise credit.
For a missing, damaged or incorrect shipment, use the order’s Submit Claim route rather than waiting for the ordinary return deadline. The detailed instructions and FAQ require reporting those issues within 30 days of the shipping date, which is a different starting event from an ordinary shipped-order return.
