An adidas.com order goes through the online return route

For a US purchase, check who sold it and how it was fulfilled before heading to an adidas store. The store-purchase FAQ explicitly says online purchases cannot be returned in stores. An adidas logo on the storefront does not establish that it can refund your adidas.com order.

If a different retailer sold you the product, follow that retailer’s proof and refund rules. For example, the Walmart receipt-lookup guide explains Walmart’s route when its paper receipt is missing; adidas cannot replace that seller’s policy simply because it made the shoes.

Check the item’s window before relying on 30 days

The current US online return instructions give most online orders 30 days from receipt. Certain Hype products have 7- or 14-day windows, and some products are final sale. The individual item’s period is communicated at purchase, so check its terms rather than applying the standard window to every limited release.

Do not assume an adiClub account automatically gives you 60 days. The current US return policy and instructions checked for this guide state the standard 30-day receipt-based window; they do not establish a blanket 60-day membership extension. A promotion or item with expressly different terms needs its own proof.

The public instructions do not clearly distinguish the final day to initiate a request from the final day to hand over or deliver the parcel. Check the deadline and handover instructions shown for your order; do not assume starting a request creates extra days to ship it.

Keep the shoebox, tags, and small accessories

The return policy requires the product in its original state and packaging. Apparel needs its original tags; footwear needs the original shoebox. All product components must be included, including spare laces, lace charms, and limited-edition accessories. Accessories need all parts of their original packaging.

The window does not override those condition requirements. A general promise that you can wear any pair outside and return it is not supported by these ordinary return terms. If a particular product has a separate trial offer, check that offer’s actual terms before using the product.

Personalized products are ordinarily nonreturnable; the policy allows a route for manufacturing defects. Removing a protective lining prevents a return or exchange for health reasons. Final-sale items, including Money Can’t Buy Product and Points for Products items, cannot ordinarily be returned or exchanged. The policy also specifically identifies Bad Bunny Puerto Rico products as final sale. If you believe a product is defective, contact Customer Service as the policy directs rather than assuming the ordinary final-sale exclusion settles that separate issue.

Start with the order, then use its parcel instructions

Open the adidas order tracker. The public entry asks for your email and whether you want to Start an exchange or return, then offers Continue. Have your order information available for the steps that follow. In an account, the published alternative is Order History, the relevant order, then Return Items.

The official instructions say the return process supplies the details needed before you drop off the parcel. Use that method and its packing instructions. The public US policy pages checked here do not quote a general return-shipping charge, so this guide does not promise that every order or self-arranged shipment is free. Check the method and any charge displayed for your order before paying a carrier yourself.

For Buy with Prime, follow the separate Prime return policy. Eligible items have a 30-day window and are not exchangeable. Available drop-off options can vary. Prime-delivered items must go to Amazon, while adidas-shipped items in the same order receive a separate label for adidas. Do not combine the two destinations merely because the checkout order was shared.

Store proof and refunds follow their own conditions

For an adidas retail-store purchase, the store FAQ says 30 days from purchase, or 14 days for limited items such as Hype products. Bring the original receipt. If it is missing, a credit card or bank statement can help the store try to retrace payment; that is not a guarantee that every receiptless return will be accepted. Products need good condition, tags, and original packaging. The FAQ excludes swimwear, underwear, toiletries, cosmetics, shoe-care products, and customized items from ordinary store returns.

A store manager may allow an exchange if the desired size is available and the returned item is saleable, unworn, unwashed, and still tagged. Store purchases cannot be returned online. Franchise stores and authorized retailers set their own rules.

For an ordinary online return, warehouse receipt and quality approval come before refund initiation. The process page says an original-payment refund can take up to 14 business days after initiation, depending on the bank; it is not a total counted from dropping off the parcel.

The refund FAQ says refunds normally use the original method and currency unless you selected a gift card, while the return policy reserves discretion to use a gift card in some return-history cases. An elected e-gift card arrives shortly after approved warehouse processing and is valid for 3 years. For split gift-card/card payments, the gift card is refunded first, with any remaining balance to the credit or debit card. Original shipping is not refunded; seasonal delivery surcharges are also nonrefundable. If you used Klarna and have not paid anything yet, the FAQ directs you to its portal to mark the returned adidas order. Klarna handles that refund process.
